Between Florence and Siena, in the area famous for the production of Chianti Classico, Greve in Chianti is the nearest village
to the Poggio Asciutto farmhouse. Chianti is a region rich in history and tradition with medieval villages and a landscape
which has remained unchanged for centuries.
To reach Greve in Chianti and Poggio Asciutto we suggest the following routes:
Approaching from the North, you should leave the Autostrada (A1) at Firenze Certosa and follow the main road (Via Cassia)
through Tavarnuzze and then continue along the Via Chiantigiana Provinciale until you reach Greve.
Approaching from the South you can leave the Autostrada (A1) at VALDARNO and proceed towards Figline where you turn left along
the Via Figlinese for Greve - this route is shorter but somewhat tortuous. It is perhaps easier to leave the A1 at Firenze Sud
and then proceed towards Grassina and then take the Chiantigiana Regional Road as far as Greve.
When you reach Greve, drive through the village on the Regional Road 222 and after about 1km turn left where the road forks
for Lamole. After 100m turn right, immediately before the bridge. You will see the signpost for Poggio Asciutto which is
about 2.5km from the village of Greve and you'll reach it after driving along a brief stretch of white road.
